## Meaning

A polite way to say 'no' or to disagree with what someone has said. You can use it as a complete answer to a question.

## Examples

- Can I leave early today? I don't think so.
- He asked if I wanted to work this weekend, but I told him I don't think so.
- When the manager suggested that the project was ahead of schedule, the lead developer replied, I don't think so, given the current technical delays.
