## Meaning

to some degree but not completely; you use this when there are several reasons for something and you are mentioning one of them.

## Examples

- The delay was in part due to the heavy rain.
- The team failed to win the game, in part because their best player was injured during the first half.
- The decline of the local industry was, in part, a consequence of global economic shifts that made traditional manufacturing less profitable over time.
