## Meaning

To remain in your bed after you wake up, or to not get out of bed because you are sick.

## Examples

- I want to stay in bed on Saturday morning.
- Because I have a bad cold, I think I will stay in bed all day.
- Despite the bright morning sun streaming through the window, she chose to stay in bed and enjoy the quiet comfort of her blankets.
