## Meaning

you use this to say that something will happen or be true in any case, no matter which of two choices is real.

## Examples

- I will go to the park whether or not it rains.
- The team needs to finish the project by Friday, whether or not the manager approves of the new plan.
- Whether or not the evidence is entirely conclusive, the committee must reach a final decision before the public hearing begins next month.
