## Definition

a sound you make to show you are very frustrated, annoyed, or in pain. It is often used in writing to show that someone is screaming or losing their patience.

For teachers: an exclamation used to express intense frustration, annoyance, or physical distress. Frequently used in informal written contexts, such as comics or digital messaging, to represent a guttural cry.

## Examples

- Aarrgh, I forgot my keys again.
- Aarrgh, this computer is so slow that I cannot finish my work on time.
- The protagonist let out a long, frustrated aarrgh as the final piece of the puzzle fell into the drain, leaving the mystery unsolved.

## Usage notes

- Often spelled with varying numbers of 'a's or 'r's to indicate the length or intensity of the sound.
