## Definition

a group of people who live in the desert between the Nile River and the Red Sea. They traditionally work as guides and raise animals like camels and goats.

For teachers: a nomadic or semi-nomadic ethnic group inhabiting the Eastern Desert of Egypt and Sudan. They are a subgroup of the Beja people and traditionally speak a dialect of Arabic or the Beja language.
