## Definition

feeling no shame or embarrassment, even in situations where most people would feel shy or guilty. It describes someone who acts boldly and does not care about being judged.

For teachers: devoid of shame or embarrassment; characterized by a lack of modesty or self-consciousness. Primarily literary in register and often carries a connotation of bold or defiant confidence.
