## Definition

a strange or unusual behavior that is different from what is normal. It can also describe a physical mistake in a shape or a pattern.

For teachers: a deviation from what is normal, expected, or acceptable; a physical or optical distortion. Often used to describe a single instance of behavior that is out of character.

## Examples

- The sudden change in his behavior was a complete aberrancy.
- The scientist noted that the lens had a minor aberrancy that caused the image to appear slightly blurry.
- While the company's quarterly profits were an aberrancy, the overall trend of declining sales suggested a deeper structural problem within the organization.
