## Definition

to behave in a strange or wrong way. It is often used to describe someone who is acting badly or a system that is not working properly.

For teachers: to behave in a way that deviates from what is normal or expected; to act erratically or immorally. Often describes a system or process that fails to function correctly.

- The witness began to aberrate during the trial.
- The software started to aberrate when the server reached its maximum capacity.
- The committee noted that the candidate's behavior had begun to aberrate significantly from the professional standards expected of a senior executive.
