## Definition

a language spoken by the Abkhaz people in the Caucasus region. It is very different from most other languages and has its own unique writing system.

For teachers: a Northwest Caucasian language spoken by the Abkhaz people in the Republic of Abkhazia. It is characterized by a complex phonology and a unique orthographic system.
