## Definition

in a way that is not able to be done or is impossible. It is a very formal or technical word used to describe something that cannot happen.

For teachers: in a manner that is impossible or not capable of being achieved. Often used in technical or philosophical contexts to describe logical impossibility.

- The philosopher argued that the concept of a perfect circle is ableptically impossible in the physical world.
