## Definition

the quality of being extremely bad, evil, or shocking. It describes something that makes you feel very sick or angry.

For teachers: the state or quality of being extremely wicked, evil, or offensive. Often used to describe moral or physical horrors that provoke intense disgust.

- The abominableness of the crime shocked the whole town.
- The witness described the abominableness of the conditions in the prison with such detail that the judge had to leave the room.
