## Definition

a very small unit used to measure electrical resistance. It is much smaller than the ohm and is rarely used today.

For teachers: a unit of electrical resistance in the centimetre-gram-second system of units, equal to one hundred millionth of an ohm.

## Examples

- The resistor had a value of one absohm.
- In older scientific papers, researchers might still reference the absohm when discussing extremely low resistance values in laboratory settings.
