## Definition

to leave a place very quickly, usually to avoid being caught or to escape a problem. It is a funny or unusual word for running away.

For teachers: to depart or escape from a place, typically in a hurried or stealthy manner. Often used humorously or in a literary context to describe a sudden exit.

- The thief absquatulated from the scene before the police arrived.
- After realizing the meeting was a disaster, he decided to absquatulate and head home early.
