## Definition

more strange, silly, or unreasonable than something else. You use this to compare two things that are both very strange.

For teachers: more irrational, nonsensical, or ridiculous than another thing. The comparative form of 'absurd'.

## Examples

- The new law is even more absurd than the old one.
- The politician's latest excuse was so absurd that even his most loyal supporters began to doubt him.
- While the initial proposal was already quite absurd, the revised version was so far removed from reality that it bordered on the comical.
