## Definition

a skin condition caused by a reaction to tiny mites, like those found in dust or on animals. It often causes red, itchy bumps on the skin.

For teachers: a skin condition resulting from an allergic reaction to the secretions or feces of mites, such as those found in house dust or on the skin of pets. Often referred to as 'mange' in a domestic context.
