## Definition

the quality of having a strong emphasis on certain parts of a word or sentence. It describes how much stress or force is put on specific syllables or words.

For teachers: the degree or quality of stress or emphasis given to a particular syllable or word within a phrase. Often used in linguistic analysis to describe the rhythmic or prosodic features of speech.

## Examples

- The poet used accentuality to create a strong, steady rhythm.
