## Definition

the quality of being good enough to be liked or approved of by other people. It describes how well something fits into a group or a situation.

For teachers: the quality of being satisfactory or suitable for a specific purpose or social context. Often used in sociological or psychological contexts to describe the degree of social approval.

- The new dress has a high level of acceptableness in this office.
- The committee debated the acceptableness of the proposed changes to the local park before voting on the final plan.
