## Definition

in a way that is willing to take something or someone as they are. It describes a person who does not complain or argue about a situation.

For teachers: in a manner that is willing to receive or take something without complaint or resistance. Often used to describe a person's attitude toward a situation or a gift.

- She looked at the news with an acceptingly attitude.
- He took the criticism acceptingly, knowing that his team's performance had been subpar.
- The veteran diplomat listened to the demands acceptingly, aware that any show of frustration would only harden the other side's resolve.
