## Definition

the sound of something bouncy or springy hitting a surface. You use this word to imitate the noise of a spring jumping up.

For teachers: an onomatopoeic representation of the sound made by a compressed spring or a resilient object rebounding from a surface.

## Examples

- The ball hit the floor with a loud boing.
- Every time the cartoon character jumps on the trampoline, the speakers emit a comical boing sound effect.
