## Definition

to make a space messy or full of things that are not needed. You use this when a room or a desk has too many objects in it.

For teachers: to fill a space with an excessive number of objects, making it untidy or difficult to navigate. Often used intransitively to describe the state of a room or a digital interface.

## Examples

- The old desk is cluttered with papers and pens.
- The living room became cluttered with holiday decorations and empty gift boxes after the party.
