## Definition

the triangular part of an outside wall between the two sloping sides of a roof. You see this shape at the top of many traditional houses.

For teachers: the triangular portion of an external wall between the sloping edges of a dual-pitched roof. Extends from the level of the eaves to the ridge of the roof.
