## Definition

a traditional round tent used by people who move from place to place in Central Asia. It is made of a wooden frame covered with thick wool or felt.

For teachers: a portable, circular dwelling consisting of a collapsible wooden lattice frame covered with felt or skins. Historically associated with nomadic groups in Central Asia, particularly in Mongolia where it is the standard term for a yurt.
