## Definition

to move from one place to another. You can also use it to talk about leaving a place or traveling.

For teachers: to move from one place to another; to travel. A primary intransitive verb of motion, it also functions as part of the semi-modal 'be going to' to express future plans or intentions.

## Examples

- We often go for a walk after dinner.
- If we're going to catch the 8 AM train, we need to go now or we will be late.
- With the final witness testimony, the case against the defendant went from being circumstantial to overwhelmingly conclusive, leaving the jury with little room for doubt.
