## Definition

to ignore someone or something on purpose. It is a very casual way to say you are not paying attention to someone.

For teachers: to intentionally ignore or disregard a person or thing. Slang in register; common in Australian and African American Vernacular English.

## Examples

- I tried to say hello, but he just iggy'ed me.
- She decided to iggy his text messages for a few days to show she was still upset.
- While some users engage with every comment, others prefer to iggy the trolls to maintain a positive atmosphere on their social media profiles.
