## Definition

providing a deep experience that makes you feel completely surrounded by or involved in something. You use this to describe things like video games or movies that feel very real.

For teachers: providing a deeply engaging or all-encompassing experience that absorbs the attention of the participant. Often describes digital environments or artistic installations that simulate physical presence.

## Examples

- The new video game offers a truly immersive experience.
- Museums are increasingly using immersive technology to help visitors feel like they are walking through historical events.
- The director utilized surround sound and 360-degree projections to create an immersive atmosphere that blurred the boundary between the audience and the performers.
