## Definition

to the extent that. You use this to say that one thing is true because another thing is also true.

For teachers: to the extent that; in so far as. Used to introduce a clause that provides a reason or explanation for a preceding statement.

- Inasmuch as the project was successful, it was due to the hard work of the entire team.
