## Definition

to arrive at a place, usually by air or after a journey.

For teachers: to arrive at a location, typically after a journey or flight; transitive phrasal verb.

## Examples

- The plane landed in Tokyo.
- After a long flight, the travelers finally landed in their hometown.
- The rescue helicopter landed in the remote village, bringing much-needed supplies.

## Pitfalls

- Not "land on Paris" but "land in Paris" — use 'in' for enclosed or specific locations, not 'on'
