## Definition

To share a home with another person. You live in the same house or apartment as them.

For teachers: To cohabit or share one's residence with another person. This is a literal, transitive prepositional verb.

## Examples

- I live with my parents.
- When I was a student, I lived with three other people to save money on rent.
- He found it increasingly difficult to live with a partner whose political views were so diametrically opposed to his own.

## Pitfalls

- Not "I live my parents." but "I live with my parents." — The preposition 'with' is necessary to connect the verb 'live' to the person you share a home with.
