## Definition

To go to live, work, or study in a different place.

For teachers: To relocate one's home, workplace, or base to a new location; also, in formal or procedural English, to formally propose something ("move to adjourn").

## Examples

- They moved to Canada last year.
- After she got the new job, Lena moved to a small flat closer to the office.
- The family moved to three different countries in five years, and the children learned to make friends quickly wherever they landed.
