## Definition

to jump up and down in one place, usually while dancing to loud music. It is also the name for jumping on a stick with a spring.

For teachers: to jump up and down repeatedly in a vertical motion, especially as a style of dancing at punk rock concerts. Often used to describe the action of using a pogo stick.

## Examples

- The crowd started to pogo as soon as the band played.
- During the height of the punk era, fans would pogo in front of the stage to show their excitement for the music.
