## Definition

to make a loud, angry sound with your mouth, usually to show you are in pain or angry. It can also describe a person who is very angry and showing their teeth.

For teachers: to utter a low, guttural sound of anger, pain, or warning; to show the teeth in a threatening manner. Often used to describe the vocalizations of animals or the facial expressions of humans in a state of extreme irritation.
