## Definition

moving or leaning to one side so that something is no longer straight or level. You use this when you tip an object or your head.

For teachers: moving into a sloping or slanted position; inclining from a horizontal or vertical plane. Often describes the physical adjustment of an object or the orientation of a surface.

## Examples

- She is tilting her head to hear the music better.
- The photographer is tilting the camera slightly to create a more dynamic and interesting composition.
- By tilting the solar panels toward the southern horizon, the engineers maximized the energy absorption during the shorter daylight hours of the winter season.
