## Definition

a place that gives you a good view of something, especially from a high position. It helps you see or understand a situation more clearly.

For teachers: a position or place that affords a wide or advantageous view of a scene. Often used metaphorically to describe a perspective that allows for a comprehensive understanding of a situation.

## Examples

- The hill provided a perfect vantage point for the parade.
- From his vantage point on the balcony, he could see the entire crowd gathering in the square below.
- The historian's vantage point, gained through decades of archival research, allowed her to identify patterns in the political crisis that contemporary observers had entirely missed.
