## Definition

an excited sound you make when you are happy or surprised. You use it to show you are really pleased with something.

For teachers: an exclamation of excitement, joy, or triumph. Often used in informal or playful contexts to express a sudden positive emotion.

## Examples

- Woohoo! I just got the job I wanted.
- The crowd let out a collective woohoo when the team finally scored the winning goal in the final minute.
- While some critics dismissed the film as a shallow spectacle, the director's fans responded with a loud woohoo, celebrating the return of a classic genre.
