## Definition

to throw something with a lot of force and speed. People often say this when they are excited or when they want to get rid of something quickly.

For teachers: to hurl or throw an object forcefully and with little regard for its landing. Slang in register; often used as an exclamation while throwing.

## Examples

- He decided to yeet the empty soda can into the bin.
- After the old phone finally stopped working, she opened the window and decided to yeet it into the yard.

## Usage notes

- Transitive verb; often used in the past tense 'yeeted'.
