Common verbs and their conjugations
Japanese verbs change their endings. Do not worry about that yet. Start with the polite form, ~ます. You will hear it all day at school, and it is safe to use with students, parents, and colleagues. Then learn the other forms as you need them.

The first column is the dictionary form. This is how you will find the verb in a dictionary. The other columns show the forms you will meet most.
