Usage

always used with the verb 'to be' or 'to fall' and followed by the preposition 'with'.

Teaching tip

contrast 'in love with' (romantic) with 'love' (can be for friends or family); explain that 'sb' stands for 'somebody' in dictionary entries.

Pitfall

I am in love of her.I am in love with her.the phrase always uses the preposition 'with' to connect to the person, never 'of'.
