SIMPLE

I agree with her on this point.

CONTEXTUAL

After hearing his reasons, I had to agree with him that the project was too risky.

COMPLEX

Few scholars would agree with the controversial theory that the author fabricated his primary sources, despite some circumstantial evidence.

Usage

The object is almost always a person, a group, or an idea associated with a person.

Teaching tip

Contrast 'agree with [a person/idea]' (share an opinion) with 'agree to [a proposal]' (consent) and 'agree on [a topic/price]' (reach a mutual decision).

Pitfall

I am agree with you.I agree with you.'Agree' is a verb, not an adjective, so it does not need the verb 'to be' before it.
